A very warm welcome to Our Lady and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, family school set in beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in Cubbington. Our location includes a delightful forest site which allows for exciting outdoor curriculum opportunities. I feel very privileged and honoured to be the leader of such a wonderful, family-orientated school.

With our Catholic Schools Inspection in December, and now Ofsted, we have demonstrated the strengths that our school community posesses! Our Reception Class took a magical journey around the world this afternoon during our Far Away Lands event! 🌏✈️
The children explored new places, discovered different cultures, and shared their amazing learning with their families — right here in school! It was a joyful celebration of diversity and curiosity. 🎨📖🎶

Today was a very special day at Our Lady and St Teresa’s! We welcomed our pupils into their new classes for Transition Day, helping everyone feel confident and excited about the year ahead. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces as the children explored their new classrooms and met their teachers! 💫😊
We were also delighted to meet the families of our new Reception children at the New Parents’ Meeting. Thank you to everyone who joined us — we’re so pleased to welcome you into our school community and can’t wait to begin this exciting journey with you and your children.

Lunch in the park (with a couple of feathery friends 🦆🪿), an ice cream to offset the 33 degree heat, and a visit to Buckingham Palace (they even did a display of the guards especially for us!) 🏰 What a fantastic day we’ve had in London! On the coach and expecting to be back at 6:30… we’ll all sleep well tonight!!

Our Reception children are having a magical day exploring the Butterfly Farm! From watching caterpillars transform into butterflies to walking among hundreds of fluttering wings, the children have been amazed at every turn. 🐛➡️🦋
We’ve learned all about the life cycle of a butterfly, seen some incredible colours and patterns up close, and even had a few brave butterflies land on our hands! 🌸✨
A big thank you to the staff at the Butterfly Farm for making the day so special. What a lovely way to bring our learning to life! 💫

Yesterday Year 4 did a video call with our partner school in São Paulo, Brazil (João's old school). The children asked each other questions (in Portuguese and English), they spoke about their respective schools and even simultaneously prayed the Hail Mary (in English and Portuguese) 🙏

Today our Mini Vinnie group have visited our neighbours at Cubbington Mill Care Home - Barchester Healthcare. The residents taught our children how to play dominos, and our children taught the residents (including Lily, over 100 years of age!!) to play chess. It was a wonderful afternoon and we hope to make this a regular occurrence ☺️
