A very warm welcome to Our Lady and St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School. We are a small, family school set in beautiful grounds at the top of the hill in Cubbington. Our location includes a delightful forest site which allows for exciting outdoor curriculum opportunities. I feel very privileged and honoured to be the leader of such a wonderful, family-orientated school.

❄️ Lapland Comes to Leamington! 🎄
Yesterday, our school was transformed into a magical winter wonderland as we brought Lapland to Leamington! From the flurry of snow greeting the children as they arrived, to cheeky elves and even a reindeer (sort of! 🐶), the excitement was everywhere.
The adventure continued with a journey down to our beautifully transformed Forest School, where the children toasted marshmallows, made reindeer food, explored festive recipes and searched for mischievous elves hiding among the trees. ✨
A truly wonderful day was had by all, and we’re definitely feeling very festive now! 🎅🎄

🎁 Reverse Advent Calendar: First Delivery! 🎁
A huge thank you to our wonderful OLST community for your generosity in supporting our Reverse Advent Calendar initiative. Because of your kindness, our first delivery of donations will be made tomorrow to @fatherhudsons .

🕯️ Second Week of Advent ✨
With the second candle now lit on our Advent wreath, we’re not only moving closer to Christmas, we’re also moving closer to one of the most magical parts of the school year… Nativity season! ⭐
Tomorrow and Thursday, our Nursery/EYFS and Year 1/Year 2 classes will proudly welcome their families to see the Nativity performances they’ve been working so hard on.
Today, the whole school was treated to a sneak-preview during the dress rehearsals, and they were amazing. The children shone on stage, and we couldn’t be more proud of them! 🎄💛
We can’t wait for you to see the wonderful performances they’ve prepared.

We’re excited to share that Lapland is coming to Leamington! Next week, our Forest School will be transformed into a festive winter wonderland.
As a well-deserved WELL DONE for all the children’s hard work this term, we are inviting pupils to come to school in non-uniform next Friday. Please ensure they are dressed in warm clothes and waterproof shoes or wellies, ready for a day of festive fun in the Forest School 🎄
We can’t wait to celebrate with them!

This week we lit the first candle on our Advent wreath, symbolising Hope. At OLST, we’re embracing that message by bringing hope to others throughout the festive season through our charitable giving.
Our Reverse Advent Calendar is already in full swing, and we’ve been overwhelmed by the generous donations coming in for Father Hudson’s Caritas. 🌟
Our giving envelopes are also filling up fast as we support local homeless charities; another wonderful reminder that, although we are a small school, OLST has a very big heart. ❤️

🎉 Huge congratulations to Jacob! 🎉
On Sunday, Jacob took part in the Regional Gymnastics Championships in Stoke-on-Trent, proudly representing Leamington and Warwick Gymnastics Club, and what a performance he gave!
He impressed the judges right from the start, scoring only 0.3 marks off perfection on the Vault. He then delivered a fantastic floor routine, showcasing an H-balance, front support hold, tuck jump, forward roll, hurdle-step cartwheel, backward roll, chassé cat leap and a confident half-turn.
After a highly competitive day, we are thrilled to share that Jacob was crowned the Under-9 Boys’ Regional Champion! 🏆
We are incredibly proud of you, Jacob… your hard work, focus and determination have truly paid off. 🌟👏

🌧️ THANK YOU, OLST FAMILIES! 🚧
Despite flooding, endless roadworks, diversions and some truly treacherous travel this morning, our amazing community still achieved an incredible 99.5% attendance! Your perseverance, patience and commitment to getting the children into school is genuinely appreciated. ❤️
Even Mr Fletcher made the most of the chaos…while stuck in traffic he managed to grab a quick photo with none other than Coventry City manager Frank Lampard! ⚽📸
@franklampard , when the roads are clear it’s only 10 minutes down the road to OLST; we’ve got plenty of budding footballers and passionate Sky Blues fans who would absolutely love to welcome you for a visit! 💙 ⚽️

We’re feeling festive after the Cubbington Christmas Lights Switch-On this evening! ✨🎄 The OLST choir took a starring role, serenading the crowd beautifully after Father Christmas had officially lit the village tree 🎄Their singing was absolutely wonderful and made sure that everyone was in the festive spirit.
A big thank you to our fantastic PTA for running a stall, and to Mrs Mottram for all her hard work rehearsing with the children.
We even had our own OLST mascot, “Santa Paws”! 🐶🎅

What an incredible day for our newly elected Pupil Principal, Freya!
Freya appointed Finlay as her Deputy Head before getting straight to work… greeting everyone at the gates, meeting with Mr Philpott, our Chair of Governors, as well as Mrs Ridges and Mr Pettle. Visiting classrooms, and even taking on break and lunch duty. Freya and Finlay wrote this week’s newsletter and confidently delivered our Celebration Assembly to finish off their busy day.
